Stayed at a lovely old building with lots of charm and history. the staff were amazing, couldn't do more to help and make us feel welcome. Enjoyed an excellent dinner with good choice. Public areas were well maintained and the bar staff were very attentive. the recent refurbishment added a luxurious feel to the restaurant and bar areas. Our room was modern, clean, and well-equipped, with an impressive bathroom. a delightful stay that will make it difficult to stay anywhere else in the future. Cons: Hard to think of anything 🤔.

Breakfast
Standard of rooms was poor, and not that expected for the price paid. We were given four different room keys before finding a barely acceptable room, and even then the room outlook was poor. This was in spite of booking several months in advance.

Close to the centre of Keswick and very close to the Leisure Centre & Museum. Excellent breakfast buffet. Real ale in the well-stocked bar. Lovely grounds to walk in after dinner with interesting wildlife on show. Brilliant view from our room - a junior suite, roomy and well- furnished.
Scary lift made grinding noises and thumped alarmingly when stopping. Examples of poor maintenance of woodwork both interior and exterior showing rot. Dressing-gowns would only fit 14 year-olds.

keswick country house guest house exceeded our expectations during our honeymoon. the staff provided excellent service, catering to my wife's mustard allergy without needing to ask at each meal. the location was perfect, a short walk to keswick centre but far enough to avoid crowds.
no hot water for the bath/shower before 7 am

Had a lovely New Year break at a hotel in Keswick. the staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. the food was outstanding, with a great selection and delicious flavors. the hotel's location was perfect, just a short walk away from the town center. We also enjoyed the reasonable drink prices and variety of gin options.
There were some disappointing aspects to our stay. the room we were assigned to was just okay, with no luxury amenities or toiletries provided.

The food was very good and the staff friendly. The location and views were good
The hotel was shabby and not worth the £622 we paid for three nights. You need to have a look at it before you recommend it again because it makes me wonder about the others you recommend.
